Our spiritual heart is nurtured through various avenues. The Avodah committee works closely with our Rabbis to ensure meaningful and engaging services and holiday celebrations. Our long-standing auxiliary organizations, Brotherhood and Women of TKT, foster deep fellowship and provide vital support to the temple. In times of need, and moments of joy, our Caring Circle extends a loving hand to our members, offering comfort and celebration.

We believe in the power of connection across generations. Our seniors thrive in two distinct programs: Better Together, which builds bridges between teens and seniors through shared activities and mentorship, and Healthy Active Living (HAL), which offers a variety of engaging social activities designed specifically for seniors.

​

Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, is a core value at TKT. Our Social Action group works tirelessly to address food insecurity in the Lake Norman area through our partnership with FeedNC. Our annual Tikkun Olam Day brings the entire community together for a day of service and positive impact.  We also nurture the earth and provide fresh produce to those in need through our community garden at the temple. Volunteers are always welcome to help with planting, weeding, and harvesting.

For those seeking social connections and friendly competition, our active Mah Jongg group meets weekly, and we occasionally host poker and bridge events. In response to the rise in antisemitism following October 7th, Standing Together unites the Jewish and broader Lake Norman communities in solidarity and support.

Families and youth will find a wealth of opportunities at TKT. Our youth group, KTTY (Kol Tikvah Temple Youth), is part of NFTY, providing teens with enriching experiences and connections. We also offer engaging Tot Shabbat programs, a vibrant summer camp, and a dynamic Sunday school program.

Supporting our mission is essential to our continued growth. Our Fundraising Committee works diligently to ensure the financial health of the temple, and our Grant Writing Committee seeks out opportunities to expand our programs and reach. We are also proud of our close relationship with the Jewish Council of Lake Norman, a Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte supported organization that promotes Jewish cultural events throughout the Lake Norman area.
